How can one CBD oil target depression and another target pain?
CBD is on the rise. We’re all becoming more aware of the many health benefits found in the Cannabis plant. Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most commonly known cannabinoid derived from the hemp plant. CBD has many health benefits ranging from aiding in back relief to severe depression to epilepsy. See how CBD oil and depression work within the body.
Some take CBD oil for general health, to keep the body aligned and balance homeostasis; where others take it for targeting aliments such as pain relief, depression, maintaining focus, anxiety relief or sleep.
When shopping for CBD it is always best to consult with your doctor and to be assured that it is coming from a trusted source. Always check for third party lab testing and results to show that your products are pesticide free, organic and contain no GMO’s.
CBD dosing is trial and error and finding a product that works best for you may take time but speaking with someone who is certified may make your experience a little smoother when searching for a product to fit your needs.
Which CBD oil is best for you?
CBD oil is not a “one size fits all” product, before purchasing, talk to your doctor or a certified consultant to obtain the best results for what you are trying to regulate. There are 3 tiers to the extraction of the hemp plant: first being Full Spectrum, Broad Spectrum, and Isolates.
“Full spectrum” is a full extraction of the plant, containing all cannabinoids. Though there are over 100 cannabinoids, others being CBN, CBG, CBC; CBD and THC are the most commonly known. Full spectrum will also have trace amounts of THC, usually .3% or less.
“Broad Spectrum” will have multiple cannabinoids from the plant but will not include any THC.
“Isolates” are when they extract a single cannabinoid (CBD) from the plant along with terpenes to pull focus to a specific ailment.
What is a terpene?
The same terpenes found in cannabis can also be found in a variety of plants such as pine needles, mangos, hops, and lavender. Terpenes are similar to essential oils and give cannabis its unique fragrance and flavor.
Ever wonder how popular cannabis strains such as Durban Poison, Pineapple Express, OG Kush were handed its name? How do you tell them all apart? They’re all classified by the different terpenes within the product influencing the experience of its potential therapeutic benefits. This is how one oil can give you energy and aid in depression where another can be calming and aid in sleep.
